1) Windermere Country Club

Windermere Country Club offers the whole family a casually upscale environment for playing golf, tennis, and swimming, as well as a variety of social events and activities

There are various membership options available and golf facilities are open to the public.

2) Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando consistently provides phenomenal productions with amazing performers. Offering several workshops in performing arts education, it’s also a place where you can participate and learn.

3) Central Florida Railroad Museum

The Central Florida Railroad Museum is located in the historic Tavares and Gulf Railroad depot, just one block south of Winter Garden’s thriving historic downtown and the West Orange Trail.

A hidden gem, the museum is home to a large collection of locomotive memorabilia and old train cars. There are also displays for children, including climb-on cabooses. While the museum is free, donations are appreciated.

4) Fridays on the Plaza

Every Friday evening from 7 pm – 9 pm, Winter Garden hosts a free concert in Centennial Plaza featuring a local band or musician.

It’s the perfect opportunity to bring some food and have a picnic while listening to some great music. After your picnic dinner, you can take a lovely stroll through town and grab some dessert while the music continues to play.

5) Food Truck Fridays and Movies in the Park

Located at Bill Breeze Park in the city of Ocoee, this fun event is held the third Friday of every month. Grab dinner at one of the several local participating food trucks before settling in to watch a movie under the stars. A word of warning: be prepared to bring some blankets or chairs as the turnout typically ranges from 800-1200 people!

6) Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens

Included in the National Register of Historic Places, the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens in Winter Park is famous for its more than 200 works by sculptor Albin Polasek. While the museum’s main focus is on American sculpture, it has changing exhibitions throughout the year in a variety of media including paintings and photography.

The museum, located in the retirement home of Albin Polasek, offers guided tours of the historic Polasek residence and chapel and has an outdoor sculpture garden, as well as a gift shop.
